CoS start date - tier 2 extension

My current CoS end date is 31/08/19 and BRP expires 2 weeks later 14/09/19

I think the extension unrestricted CoS job start date should start with 01/09/19, instead of 15/09/19, am I right in thinking this?

Otherwise, is there a 2-week gap between the job end and extension job start date?

I will be eligible for ILR on 03/11/2019. I am short of 45 days. Therefore, I am applying for an extension first.
Should I request for 6-months (IHS £200) or a 1-year (IHS £400) CoS duration?

However, my plan is to vary the extension application if I do not get a decision by 03/11/2019.

I have the same situation. My cos expires 31-1-19 and the brp expires 14-2-20. What should be the start date of the new cos?
