Tier 2 restricted visa occupational shortage

I am currently on a Tier 2 restricted visa from the occupational shortage list. Can I work in a different role with the same employer that is not on the occupational shortage list but something similar?

You can work for the same employer, but might need to apply for a change of employment application if your SOC code changes.

A Resident Labour Market Test needs to be completed by your employer too.

Only RQF Level 6 SOC Code roles are eligible - see Appendix J of the Immigration Rules
