About change of address

Post by Kajan » Sun Jan 12, 2020 11:51 am

Hi,
My wife is going to apply for PBS dependent extension soon (22/01/2020)
I got ILR on 15 /01/2019.
After that 16/01/2019 we moved to new address.
And also we changed all other documents to new address.
We can provide the documents for co habitation proof in current address.
But we didn’t inform the home office regarding change of address yet.

Can any one please advice is it going to be a problem for my wife’s visa extension
Thanks in advance

PBS dependent extension- Change in address

Post by Kajan » Sun Jan 12, 2020 4:18 pm

Hi,
My wife is applying for PBS dependent extension this month.

I got ILR on 15/01/2019

After my ILR we moved to another address on 16/01/2019

Do I need to inform about the change of address to Home Office?

Is it mandatory?

What will happen if not

any one please reply me
Thank you

Yes, they mention you must report change of circumstances. Although I'm not sure how strict this might be but worth to do it when you realise it.
It takes 10-15 minutes to update it online: https://visa-address-update.service.gov.uk

I think it's important you do, because if you don't next time you're extending your visa or apply for ILR, they find your new address not the one they've got registered.

I have read in this forum
If I got ILR I don’t need to inform about changes of address

I’m confused

Me or my have to inform about the change
Please clarify
Thank you

If your wife is on BRP then yes: https://www.gov.uk/change-circumstances ... have-a-brp

There's no mention of report for ILR, on gov website.
