EC delay?!

Post by dj_iv » Wed Mar 23, 2005 9:31 pm

I've applied for EC online in Dublin at 2nd of March and brought all documents at 4th myself. I emailed to the embassy and they said all in process. So I've been waiting for decision for more then 3 weeks! Does anyone know, is it normal situation?
Thanks

Hi,

British Embassy in Dublin usually takes lot of time. Even for a tourist visa they take atleast 5 working days. Dont worry you will get your EC very soon.

This is very very strange. I dont know why British Embassy in Dublin takes so much time.

Hey Why dont you call them up? They should update you with the status.

The british Embassy in Nigeria takes quite a while as well.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, BUT UNBOWED

have you tried calling them or emailing them? Also did you ask for a post dated EC? Another thing I think you said you applied online, did you receive any confirmation of receipt of your documents when you posted them to them. I also assume you used swiftpost or registered mail, do you have confirmation of them receiving it?

I've brought all my documents myself to the embassy.I did not ask for a post dated EC. I emailed them few times and they said:
Your application is still being processed at present. A decision has not be reached yet.
