FLR (M) New BRP length

Post by Hag07 » Fri Jan 17, 2020 12:22 pm

Hi, My first post. First question:

We have just finished the first FLR process after 33 months back in the UK and my wife has received her new (second) BRP card. The new BRP is valid for 30 months +28 days starting from the expiry of the old one. Is this normal ? Everything that I have read says 30 months only.

Second Question:

I have read that you can apply for ILR after 60 months (applying up to 28 days before) in the UK from first arrival. Is this still correct if your BRP expires some 4 months later ?

Thanks
Hag07

Yes it is still correct. You can apply no sooner than within 38 days before the 5th anniversary of the date you entered the UK. Or at the latest, before the current visa expires.
