UK permanent residence with father's history

Hello everyone, I will like to know if I might be eligible to apply for a permanent residence.
My father worked in the UK for more than 15 years then he moved back to Nigeria decades ago, he still receives his monthly pension from the UK pension office monthly or yearly.
Now, I am currently in the UK with a Tier 4 visa that will last for 2 years, am I eligible to apply even though my father worked in the UK and still receives his pensions (My father is Nigerian and he doesn't have a British passport since he moved back to Nigeria decades ago).
