AOR - Can anyone help!!!

Hi, i posted my application under the skilled worker programme nearly 17 weeks ago to london and so far have heard nothing from them, although they cashed my cheque weeks ago, is it worth trying to contact them to see where my letter is or is it just best to sit and wait it out, least I know they have application and cheque. thanks in advance.

question is, how long should i expect to wait to get an AOR cheque cashed back in may and its now august.
