Post by Rex » Thu Apr 07, 2005 8:06 am

I just got my docs and approval letter.

App. Sent: 18th Mar 2005
Received : 23rd Mar 2005
RefNo. Received: 28th Mar 2005
Approval Date: 31st Mar 2005
Received Docs & letter: 07 April 2005

Yahooo......................

I never thought it would be so quick...............

Now for EC....for me n my family. Wish me luck

I am out-of-country without job offer.

And one imoirtant but confusing thing is that it says to apply for EC within 3 months but approval letter is valid for 6 months.

I claimed 90 points

15 education: send degrees, transcripts, letter from my lecturer, letter from NARIC, letter from uni. with completion date

10 spouse: his reference letters from 2 companies

35 experience: 4 -year exp. with ref. letters, employment contracts, employment cards, letter from last employer

25 earning: bank statement, payslips, contract stating salary, letter from epmloyer with avg. salary per month, tax exemption letter from employer (as I work for World Health Organization)

5 Age: Birth cert., copy of passport

I put cover letter for each category. Put all docs for each category in different plastic sleeve.

Cover letter stated docs in that category.

At the end I added, predicted budget with bank statement.
Some job printouts from reed and monster.
Proof of relationship with partner i sent some docs/letters which are not returned.

For english skills, i added letter from uni. and my international certs.

My file is not returned, just the plastic sleeves are returned. but no matter, i think they wana reduce the cost of posting.

All is well that ends well.

Congratulations, well done!

In my case the file was returned separately from the decision letter, so expect to receive it eventually - they take and keep photocopies of documents but not originals themselves...

well done rex!

you are right, that was EXTREMELY quick and even more considering the insane amount of applications the HO have been receiving in the last few weeks.

i wonder if this quick processing means that they are still doing their job VERY quickly, regardless of the MANY applications before april 1st...

are there any other middle, late march applicants who have received an answer or AT LEAST a ref number?

wonder the speed for the more expensive applications...

any ideas anybody?

best

Thanks alot all of you.

I applied from Pakistan. I worked in Switzerland for last one year so earning points category(country) is Switzerland.

Good luck.
