I sent an email to HO for update and received this email from Home office today, Anybody have the same experience by Home Office that we have noted our systems with your enquiry.

Dear applicant,

Thank you for your email.

We have noted our systems with your enquiry.

A caseworker will contact you if they require any further information from you throughout the course of the application process. Please note; we will not contact you to provide regular updates and cannot provide a definitive application processing timescale.

Your application will now continue to progress until a decision is made
My friend got a similar reply and he got an approval letter four weeks after. This e-mail means that caseworker is assigned to your file and soon you will be given a green signal. Just wait few more weeks.
Hello. I received the same email 15 December 2019. More than 6 weeks have gone and guess what - nothing came. I think it is a generic reply. So I would not be so sure about assigning to case worker.

Thank you for those who replied to my earlier questions. (Tho admittedly, I am still confused on the FPN. I would like to just mention it, even if it is not on my record due to taking the course, but not sure if it is a criminal or civil issue.)

I have another question. Do your referees need to have known you for 3 years? I remember this being the case years ago but when I look on the document, it does not say 3 years. The professional part is the issue and I have known a lawyer for over a year now.

Also, am I missing something but how do I search the forum/posts? I do not see a search bar.

Thanks!

Good to hear from you Sousa49, So sad no good news yet...may I ask how long your application has been with them? Also, I think there won't be problem with ur application, cos if there is, it would have been rejected. Probably the probably is from your case worker.

It is 5 months and one week. We applied myself and my daughter on the 23rd of August midnight.she got it thankfully 2 weeks ago ( she was my dependent on her previous statuses)
I do feel that my case worker is just annoyed of the many emails I sent .therefore it is delayed

5 months? Dats so unfortunate. Mine was, 2 months and 3 weeks...just give them till 6 months and the see what the excuse will be.. personally I think you fell into the hand of a very slow or indecisive case worker..I don't think they will refuse it,, they would have since written you a refusal letter if there was need for that...it's just a delay from your case worker..I sent more than 6 emails to my case worker asking why mine was not yet out. Don't think you offended them..just give it till 6 month on the dot

I think it is the refugee route.while my indefinite leave to remain took 10 weeks to be decided this is taking all the time. I thought it is a straightforward one as I work for the NHS and volunteer and was a bit more optimistic after my daughter's citizenship approval but to be honest I am getting so upset lately and I don't care anymore sending any emails to ask . It is just not fair

Just received the email below on 30th January 2020. Please note I didn't contact them about my application which 6 months lapsed on 21st January 2020. Any idea of how soon as possible I am receive the decision.

We aim to process all applications within 6 months from the date submitted. However, in certain circumstances this target is not possible. Following our assessment of your case, unfortunately it appears your application will not be processed within the 6 month target. We expect to make a decision on your application as soon as possible, but we will write to you again if this is not going to be possible.

Hi everyone I applied on 6th of May 2019
And done the biometric on 11th of the same month
I received an email on 29th of January which asking me to send my old travel document to the HO
Which I’ve done it the next day via 1st class Royal Mail.
Can someone tell me if this is a good sign or not?
And if it is how long should I wait again?

I applied on 18 July 2019, I sent an email to the ho and received this respond can someone else received this email Thank you for your correspondence dated 23 January requesting progress on your application for naturalisation as a British citizen.

I can confirm that your application is in the process and that decisions on applications are usually made within six months.

I am sorry if your application is taking longer than usual to be processed. As you may be aware, naturalisation is not an automatic process, and we have to make a number of enquiries to ensure that applicants can satisfy the statutory requirements. Some of these enquiries are carried out by external agencies on our behalf and can sometimes take longer than six months to complete.

We will endeavour to conclude your application at the earliest opportunity and we will write to you again as soon as the necessary checks are complete. Please be assured that as soon as we are in a position to reach a decision, you will be notified accordingly.

Yours sincerely

This exact e-mail has received to my friend who applied in June 2019 a few days after me. We both are waiting and both of us are on the refugee route. I don't know but somebody or any moderator of this forum has experienced better in this type of e-mail. Let's see who contributes to our steadfast patience.
I have received the same email last week as well, I will keep you updated please update us if you get a decision 👍
My friend who recieved the above e-mail has recieved another e-mail today. HO confirms his post in 21 days. I am waiting for the response and good news will be on the way for me also.

Dear applicant,

Thank you for your email.

We have noted our systems with your enquiry.

Hello. I received the same email 15 December 2019. More than 6 weeks have gone and guess what - nothing came. I think it is a generic reply. So I would not be so sure about assigning to case worker.
I was a bit impatient and messaged for an update. Well got reply today

Applications are dealt with in application receipt date order. Therefore as your application was received on 15 September 2019, It will take a while longer for your application to be considered. You do not need to contact us. Once your application is decided, you will be contacted by your caseworker.

Means they do not make any progression at all. Tired of them.

Thats a good news i am happy for your friend

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

Hi there, just wondering once applied how long do you have to submit your current passport for? or do you simply take it to your biometric appointment and that's it?

My friend who recieved the above e-mail has recieved another e-mail today. HO confirms his post in 21 days. I am waiting for the response and good news will be on the way for me also.
I just received this email today.
