Applied for Ec under transitional HSMP Tier 1 General

We have applied for the Tier1 Genaral Visa - my wife had got her HSMP approval letter in feb.(I have applied along with her for the dependent visa.) So the question is...what is the current processing time? we were informed about 15 working days, well in our case we have applied on the 10 jul, hence my 15 workin days are not yet over. But does any1 know bout the current processing timeline? Any1 who has applied on the same date or nearby dates in the same visa category pls let me know...i have applied from vfs mumbai. thank you..:0

I have also applied for EC from HYDERABAD on 9 July 2008 under HSMP transitional arrangements. I just wondered if anyone had their integra check for the employment.

We had integra check for both current employment and previous employment. For the current employment they spoke to HR and spoke to me as well on my extension. For previous employment they spoke to HR and apparently phone some neighbours to confirm whether the firm actually exists. Both feedbacks were positive. This happened early last week. Iam hoping we will get some reply in the first week of August. Please share your experiences.

i had already informed and authorized my bank, so they gave me a call after they got a call from integra.

Hi Guys,

seems none of the applicants who has applied under HSMP Transitional case after 30th June 2008 has received reply from BHC/VFS. At least i have seen not a single forum posting confirming that anyone applying after 30th june under hsmp transitional, has received a positive or negative reply.

As BHC is providing same reason for delay (that documents are under verification), my guess is that BHC/integra is verifying our documents as thoroughly as in case of PBS Tier-1 who dont have hsmp approval letter.

Finally we got our entry clearence by courier today for 3 years. Its a big relief. I would like to sincerely thank all the members for the valuable inputs they have given and please continue the good work. I would especially like to thank all the senior members for giving sincere and through advise.

Hi All,

A big thanks to each one in this group for sharing the required information in getting the UK visa. After a great struggle in gathering documents for Maintenance funds, I have now got my Passport stamped with Tier 1 visa for 3 years . I like to share my experience, as it may help someone in similar situation.

Timeline:
HSMP Approval letter expiry date: 21 July.
Visa Appln: 16 July
Visa Stamped: 30 July
Integra: No idea.

I faced difficulty in producing required documents supporting maintanence funds, as I am maintaining my account with Citibank UK.

Every month I get statements to my India address only by end of the month... hence it was not possible to produce the statements/letter with in 7 calender days. I have even tried changing my mailing address to my friends in UK, however was not able to get the documents within 7 calender days. It almost took 2 solid months in trying to get the required information on time. Finally I ended up with the option of receiving the Reference letter via Fax.

I have produced the following documents for Maintenance part to support my Visa appln and explained clearly in my covering letter stating the case on why I am unable to produce the original documents dated prior to 7 days of my application.

1. 15 months Bank statements up to June 2008.
2. For the intermediate period from July 1st to 16th, I have produced
(i) a reference letter received via fax on 14th July, with the details as
A/c number, A/c name, Citibank Logo and address, my name,
current balance, minimum balance maintained for the past 3
months.
(ii) Internet account - transaction page and sign-off page printout
showing the last 3 months transactions as on 15th of July. It also
contains, Logged in date and time, a/c number, Running balance.

Apart from this, I have also submitted a original reference letter dated May 13th from Citibank just for additional reference as it is outdated.

I was doubted initially on my approval, as I have not submitted the required original documents dated with in 7 calender days. Luckily, I got my visa stamped as I think BHC had enough proofs/documents to approve my visa..

I have applied through VFS chennai. During my application submission, VFS officer initially refused to accept my reference letter receivied via Fax. I said to him clearly that 'let BHC make a decision and please pass my documents to them as I provide!'

I got my and dependent's visa today stamped for 3 yrs..
here are the stats:

Visa applied at: VFS delhi
Application date: 11 July
Approved on : 12 August (almost 5 weeks )
Delivered by courier: 13th August

Did you HSMP transitional EC applicants have to go through the Tier 1 (General) application stage paying £350, or did you apply directly with a VAF-2 form and the HSMP approval letter for £200?

Also, having been unemployed for some time, I am facing a dilemma as to whether I should apply for EC now or find work and then apply for EC afterward. Please help resolve my concerns if you have experience with EC applicants.
