Immigration Counter at Airport

Dear respected friends,

I have little and quick question?

A applicant got ILR after 6 years DLR (out of immigration rules) if he returns after 2 weeks holidays from his birth country to UK, can Immigration Officer on Airport Counter have power to cancel or revoke his or her ILR?

The UKVI officers at point of entry such as airports have the power to cancel any type of leave including ILRs.

However, they won't do it just because they don't like you. They must have a reason to do it. Like they find out that you obtained your leave fraudulently or you are not respecting the conditions of you leave.

Examples:

- Someone comes with a Tier 4 visa but they find out that he/she doesn't study but works in the UK
- Someone comes on a visitor visa but they found at the border that the person has been using the NHS or staying extensively in the UK
- Someone comes with an ILR but the person has left the country more than 2 years absence
... etc

The ILR is a very strong document. They can't just take it away just because they want to and not just because the person went on holidays for 2 weeks.

ILR can be revoked if it is proven that ILR was obtained through deception. Depending on the the claims made by the applicant on DLR/ILR application, this may or may not affect their ILR. If they claimed their life will be in danger and travelled back, then that may simply prove that they lied which could be considered a basis for revocation
