Still no response
Tried email HO two times
They reply ( I can confirm that your application is in the process and that decisions on applications are usually made within six months.

Unfortunately, your application is taking longer than usual, to be processed. As you may be aware, naturalisation is not an automatic process, and we have to make a number of enquiries to ensure that applicants can satisfy the statutory requirements. Some of these enquiries are carried out by external agencies on our behalf and can sometimes take longer than six months to complete.)

Please help me
This reply make me so worry
I am so stress
Is this normal reply or not
Any ideas?!
You applied less than two months ago!!!

Applications can take up to 6 moths, sometimes longer!!

It's too early to stress and there should be no worry in this little time scale. I applied on 21st May 2019 along with 3 other friends similar as my case. My two friends got approval and I have no news. It's 8.5 months now and I have no other choice to keep calm and carry on

Hi Luna

from my observation and personal experience, i assume that HO have few general/common messages that they send for all queries,
for you , i think it is still early to tell you that your application may take longer than 6 months, so it might be only a general reply

good luck

My case is also simple and straight forward. My friend who got approval in 6 weeks was a bit complicated with HMRC and bank loan shorts payments. We cannot expect quicker then others as we don't know who will be served first. I am also on refugee and my other two friends also refugee. I am the only person left in the queue after 8.5 months. It's all about luck. I wish you quick approval but keep patience

I was also refused in 2017 because my first discretionary leave was issued in 2009 and I should have allowed 10years to pass and applied in 2019 rather than 2017.
I have now re applied in January 2020 .
Although i have never been bankrupt but i had a debt relief order which has now been settled;declared to the home office in my application
I have used a solicitor this time in Case I am omitting any recent changes in the law that I may
not be aware of.
I am eagerly waiting for a positive outcome
Good luck to everyone waiting

Re: General Discussion During Naturalisation Application Process

Post by winter1234 » Tue Feb 18, 2020 1:56 pm

Hi everyone,
I applied for Naturalisation in middle of July and I haven't received any decision on my case yet.
As I understand based on talking with other applicants, solicitors and people in this forum, most of refugees have to wait much longer than usual and HO excusee that some of checks are carrying out by external agencies which I believe it is not correct.
I was wondering if there is any way to speak out and let public know about this unfair procedure then they may change the situation.
