Mistake on absences - Help!

Post by killamangiro » Mon Feb 24, 2020 8:58 pm

Hey all,

I'm completely kicking myself. I have just submitted my Naturalisation application and noticed on one of my absences instead of entering that I returned in 2016 I wrote 2017. So what should have been 3 days in Germany, is now saying its over 300! Annoyingly it didn't tell me the total number as I was filling in the application form otherwise it would have raised a flag. No excuses though I should have been more careful.

Have I completely screwed up my application because of this? Doesn't seem to be any way to amend.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

thanks!

You'll need to contact UKVI, stating your reference number, explain the error and provide a revised listing.
Did you receive an email acknowledgement? Are replies to the sender possible, or it "no-repply"?
If the latter, suggest you use this email address: nationalitysupportteamfmt@homeoffice.gov.uk

Thanks!

I have my appointment with UKVCAS next week so I was going to upload a cover letter with the error noted. Do you think this would be sufficient ? It is quite obviously a mistake as I have other absences overlapping this time period the following year. I am also uploading all my passport pages which shows the dates I left and entered.

cheers!

I assumed you had already submitted everything - so yes upload the letter with your other documents.

I had just submitted the application online. Appointment at UKVCAS is on Monday. I've uploaded a cover letter explaining the typo and pointing to the page in my passport with the correct return date. Hopefully this is fine!
