Tier 2 Dependent Visa extension application from India

Post by ajpj1989 » Wed Jan 22, 2020 2:45 pm

Hi,
My husband is on Tier 2 General Visa. His BRP expires on Feb 20, 2020.
He has submitted his application for extension and is being processed in the UK.

I am on a Tier 2 dependent visa which expires on Feb 20, 2020.
I travelled to India on Dec 18, 2019 and am currently in India due to family circumstances.

Would it be possible for me to apply for the extension of the dependent visa from India?

I would be grateful for your advise.
Thank you.

Thank you very much.
Would you mind letting me know the application form that one should use?

I tried the one available in VFS site for Tier 2 family, but the first question was whether I am in the UK or Not. When I entered No, I could not proceed further.

Please guide me. I would greatly appreciate.
Thanks again.

That's due to charli giving you the incorrect advice. An extension application can only be made from within the UK.
An application made outside of the UK will be a fresh application, which will re-set your 5 year qualifying period for ILR.

Thank you very much for the advise.

In this case, if I travel to the UK shortly, will entry be permitted, given the time period of just another month before the BRP expires and the application process for extension is nearly 8 weeks, I am given to understand.

I would be grateful for your advise.
Thank you.

Hello Casa,
Thank you very much for your reply and timely advice. I am grateful.
I applied for the extension of the Tier 2 Dependent visa from the UK.
It has been approved.

However the BRP has not been delivered yet, it is now 10 working days completed.
Have checked with the courier too.

I have submitted the online report form for "BRP Not Arrived yet".
The reply mentions that they would get back within the next 5 working days.

The current issue is my visa expires on 27th February.
I am quite concerned about my stay here after February 27th, without the new BRP on hand, although the extension has been approved.

Could I leave on 27th February without the new BRP?
We are advised not to travel until we receive the BRP, incase it is not delivered within the next couple of days?

Much concerned and would greatly appreciate your kind advice.
Thank you
Kind Regards.

Tier 2 Dependent BRP extension Approved, BRP Not Arrived-Current BRP Expires.

Post by ajpj1989 » Tue Feb 25, 2020 9:19 am

Hello,
I applied for an extension of Tier 2 Dependent Visa-BRP.
Application for extension has been approved, waiting for more than 10 days, BRP has not arrived yet.
In the meanwhile the present visa expires in a couple of days.

The letter mentions not to make travel arrangements without receiving the BRP.
Have reported online. Reply says, wait for another 5 working days.

Quite concerned and anxious.
Would be grateful for help and advice.
Thank you.

Have you contacted DX Courier to find out if they have a delivery for you??

Are you sure there is no card that they attempted a delivery??
