Unmarried Partner Visa

Post by Anu864 » Sat Aug 09, 2008 1:28 pm

Hi,

My TWES Visa got finished in July 2008 and was for 1 year.so i am back in my home country now.but my partner is in London.he is on his status of work permit holder.and we lived together for almost 2 years.

I would like to know that would I be eligible to apply for Unmarried partner visa?

Thank you

Thank You for reply.that was good information source.
so i found out that i can apply for Unmarried partner visa even though my partner is on work permit.but only one thing I am not sure about that is,perilously I was on TWES Visa for one year until 7th july 2008.so does that mean I will be not eligible to apply for another year?
or I can still apply now.

You may apply as soon as you have proof of "living together in a relationship akin to marriage/civil partnership which has subsisted for two years or more". If you remain apart for an extended period, then you risk not satisfying this requirement.
