Tier 2 ICT visa Extension

My husband came to UK on May 2017 with Tier 2 ICT visa and he had visa till May 2022.

We returned to India on March 2019. We have completed 1 year in India now.

My husband now getting opportunity to work in UK. If we go now, please help to clarify below questions:

1) Can we get our visa extended beyond May 2022 of total 5 years (till Mar 2025) since we have completed 1 year cooling off now?

Please help me to clarify. Thanks

Yes but the context, in this case, is different. By Tier 2 clock I mean the ability to apply for a Tier 2 so not the time spent on Tier 2 but the time spent out of UK after Tier 2 which IMHO is reset after 12 months.

He cannot hold an ICT visa for more than 5 years. The very nature of the ICT visa means he can be sent back to home country many times during the period allowed to hold the visa. Returning on the current visa means he cannot apply for an extension beyond 5 years.
