Before 2010 there was rarely a concept of revoking nationality or ILR but now it is normal hence I can say that it is possible under the current system on operation like something under a regime.Anything is possible anytime related to immigration if you hold dual nationality .

As stated long term absence from the UK doesn't lead to deprivation of citizenship, neither for naturalised citizens nor for "natives". There were some cases recently when people obtained naturalisation, immediately moved abroad, applied for UK passport from abroad, and then they had trouble - as passport agency and Home Office questioned their "future intentions to leave in UK".
But one only has to have such intentions at the time off application (and probably up to naturalisation date), not forever..
