It doesn’t mean anything. Just the fact that the processing hasn’t been completed.

Haha to be honest if you call them and explain that you want the passport, they will accommodate it. I called them a week before my scheduled completion date and they got my passport done within the same afternoon. (I needed to travel abroad that weekend but I also mentioned that it wasn’t urgent and I could change the dates if necessary.)
You can only apply in person in London passport office if you are going to travel abroad with your Irish passport in 8 weeks. Otherwise you must use paper applications or passport express (which is not available in London).Court2 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 24, 2019 7:47 pmHas anyone applied for first time via the London embassy?
I am pre emptively tempted to book an appointment, pending the arrival of my FBR certificate.
However on the website it keeps referring to 'proof of travel' but then contradicts itself to say during the process of attempting to book an appointment that first time applicants can also attend in person.
Has anyone gone via London? It also appears the fee is 83 euros via London rather than 80 euros directly sending to Cork.
Thanks for this, I will opt for passport express and the 15 working day timescale in that case.littlerr wrote: ↑Mon Jun 24, 2019 11:56 pmYou can only apply in person in London passport office if you are going to travel abroad with your Irish passport in 8 weeks. Yes. It will take a week or soNewIrish493 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2019 5:41 pmJust applied for my first time passport. Did this at the Liverpool post office on Tuesday.
My tracking number isn't coming up with anything on the site.
"The application number entered does not exist in our database. Please enter your passport application number again."
Is this normal? It has been 2 working days now since I sent it.
15 days /3 weeks are the correct average turnaround time.NewIrish493 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2019 6:20 pmMy application appeared on the tracker today - applied first time via passport express Liverpool.
At the time of applying and even now, the website has said 15 working days turnaround time.
My tracker is saying 3rd September! Are these estimates accurate? I applied via passport express for the quoted turnaround time -/+ 5 days, but not over 2 weeks more?
Do the estimates change or is this now my date to expect? Also, when complete, does the tracker include a postal tracking number when dispatched?
It starts from 7/8. The current turnaround time is 18 working days as mentioned on DFA:NewIrish493 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2019 9:00 pmApplied Liverpool: 30/07/19 + 15 working days = 20/08/2019
Or maybe they work on date it is considered 'received', therefore 06/08/19 + 15 working days = 27/08/19.
Struggling to see where they have come up with 03/09/19. That's not 15 working days.
Thanks, I was looking at the wrong timescale - 18 working days is the current time.littlerr wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2019 12:36 amIt starts from 7/8. Add 1 day from there for passport express delivery time. It works out to be 3/9

They received all the documents (original naturalisation cert, original passport, copy of Public service card, 2 address proof, identity verification by Garda) from me on 4th March.
It also says Passport Card will follow afterwards, no dates given for passport card.

I did not send a copy of PSC card. I hope that was an option and not mandatory requirement?
