Post by Fbiboy2002 » Fri Mar 20, 2020 10:34 am

Dear all members I hope you and your all family safe from coronavirus hopefully it will go away without any damage to you or your beloved ones..
I had question regarding citizenship application already in progress do you think next few weeks/ months or even now the home office put on hold the applications already in progress? Thank you and stay safe.

I'd like to know this too, I am about to submit my application and I am very concerned that it will take longer to process than usual. I read normally it takes about 2-3 months, which would be great... hopefully Covid 19 doesn't affect it too much, to be fair I don't think it necessarily will since it seems like essential organisations will continue to operate as normal, it's really just things related to public gatherings that are being affected by this. This does however mean that the citizenship ceremonies are being cancelled which makes sense since these are typically large gatherings.

I dont think applications will be placed on hold. It will only take longer to attend to applications as many workers are working from home. However, if things get worse, obviously people's wellbeing comes first. Everything might be placed on hold. I guess there's nothing worry about because everything around the world is almost on hold, so you are not alone.
