Tier 2 Extension - no photos?

Post by quoala » Sun Mar 22, 2020 10:15 am

I applied for an extension few days ago and got a premium appointment for 26th of this month.

After completing it, the mandatory documents I am asked to provide:
- Proof of identity (BRP)
- Proof of application (Passpprt)

I have already uploaded these documents and also in the Optional document section I uploaded the previous passport and visa stamp.

I was expecting "2 Photos" to be part of the requirements as I've read this in the other topics in this forum as requirement.

Does this mean they no longer need 2 photos as part of the application?

Not required as your photo and biometrics are taken at the appointment, if you can get an appointment under the current circumstances.

I was lucky enough to find an appointment for 26th in Croydon. The only worry is that the trains may not work until then from Victoria and so may need to arrange an Uber. Buses also don't go there!

On the side note, my application seems to be all good except there is a Note which is related to salary.

The HR has put the previous salary in the CoS, and amended it via Note. I realised they have not reported the salary raise of 20K before the new CoS issued, but they reported as a Note in the CoS, and their solicitor confirmed it's fine - so hopefully that should be alright?

I suggest you keep an eye on the sopra website as it can change at short notice.

Thanks for the link, will keep checking it. Fingers crossed!
Also any thoughts on the above regarding salary amendment, based on your experience?

Wondering if I have to upload all pages in the current passport and previous passport or only the first page of each passport suffice for making an extension application?

There are no guidelines regarding this.

I see. Does that include the previous passport too(where the visa vignette is)?

Yes.

Although might not be necessary for an extension but no harm in submitting.

I can't answer your question in the salary, but a £20k difference is substantial and if it was not reported via the SMS system at the time, that is concerning and could be a red flag to ho. I am sure not all employees got a £20k salary increase.

I will do so for my previous passport as well, it's just there are so many pages stamped and I don't have a proper scanner, but using camera seems not too bad either.

Yeah I had no idea the sponsor did not report this, this was done 2 years ago, and it was an act of promotion and fair pay according to market's rate. As this was corrected as a Note in the CoS, and hoping it's going to be just fine, especially this was the employer's obligation and not the employee to report in time.

But I will update here once I get my application's feedback.
