What is my visa type?

Post by Lind » Thu Mar 26, 2020 11:48 am

Hi,

I moved to the UK a 2 months ago after I got my family (spouse) visa (I got married to my British partner). I have a BRP valid until end of 2022 and on the card the type of permit is “leave to enter” and “work permitted”.

I need to fill a document for a job I got and I’m not sure what type of visa to choose from the options:
- Permanent Residence or
- Leave to Enter

Can you help me please?
Thanks!!

You have leave to enter or remain, ie a spouse visa. You do NOT have permanent residence.

Thank you for your reply!
There are more options there to choose , but hopefully that’s the one!
Leave to enter saying necessary I have permit to work?
Just worried it will look by the company I’m about to work for that I don’t have the permit to work in the uk.

Unclear what options y ou are given as you have only stated two. But yes, Leave to Enter Spouse visa is correct.

You have a valid visa and a BRP and have no restriction on work.

Either of these two.
Thank you!
So I can choose “spouse leave to remain” even if my card says “leave to enter”?

Sorry about my lost questions

It's fine to select leave to enter.

Refer to your decision letter where you will find it written as " leave to remain as partner (Standard) from ----- to --------"
