Covid 19 self employment income support scheme

Post by Vsuria » Mon Apr 13, 2020 8:58 am

My wife is on a 5 year based spouse/partner visa of a settled person and she can apply ILR in Oct 2021. I am a British citizen( route 5 year Tier 1, then ILR). My wife is eligible for Covid 19 self employment income support scheme according to my previous tax calculations. If she claims, will it affect her ILR application?

No, as this is not a Public Fund. However, your post isn't clear. Is your wife self-employed or is this your claim. :?:

My wife is self employed since Jan 2018. She is eligible according to her tax returns calculated by me

Fine to apply then. HMRC will contact your wife and ask her to apply if she qualifies. This will be based on her tax returns for 2016/17, 2017/18, 2018/19

Can I, as a self-employed sponsor apply for government funding plus universal credit?

My income will still be above 18,600 with or without this. Thanks for your help!
