Tax code instead of Tax office reference number

Hope that you are all keeping safe

Just realised that i have sent my Tax code rather than the Tax Office reference number

I have even updated the HO with the new tax ccode last week , i even included a payslip

I applied on August 2019 , do I need to send a correcting letter?

Please advise
