Spouse Visa Extension - When?

Hi,

My wife’s Family of a Settled Person VISA expires in April 2021.

When should we apply for the extension? And what happens if we apply and it doesn’t get processed by the expiry date? Can she continue to work and live in the UK legally until they process her application?

You can apply extension until the last day of expiry and if you submits your application before expiry regardless of when will you enrol biometrics then will be protected under section 3C which will allow you to continue to live and work until your application will be decided.
