ILR for Tier 2 General dependant

Post by cracker1234 » Thu Mar 12, 2020 1:55 pm

Hi all,

Hope you all are keeping safe and healthy.

My spouse's and children's ILRs are due on next month through 5 years T2G route.
I have the following queries. Please can someone assist on this.

1. Their T2G dependant visa was first granted on 10th April, 2015, but they entered in the UK on 5th May, 2015.
As per rule, they are eligible to apply for ILR 28 days before 5 years completion.
Is it 28 days before visa first granted or entered in the UK ?

2. We are moving to a new property in the first week of May but we are providing all the supporting documents with the current address and the correspondence address as the new address. So, when we apply through standard procedure, we will be in the current address, but moved to new address before the decision has been taken. Will it be an issue ?

3. While filling up the application, it allows you to add spouse and children in the same application. Is that correct or do we need to make separate applications for both ?

Kindly can you help me getting these answered. Kind Regards

1. Visa issue date
2. No problem
3. The same SET(O) application can include spouse and children

Much appreciated your reply Zimba.
So, I can apply any time after 14th March, 2020 (28 days before as Visa issued on 10th April, 2015). Am I correct ? Thanks..

Thanks again Zimba.
Am I correct assuming that we don't need to submit absence letter for dependants as they stayed less than 180 days outside of the UK in each 12 months.
Also, no letter required to proof absence between first Visa issue date and date of entry to the UK ?

Absence letters are not required for PBS dependents.

There is also no absence limit for PBS dependent visas issued before 11 January 2018.

Hi All,
We had BRP appointment on this Friday (27th March). Today received an email from UKVCAS that appointment is cancelled due to staff shortages. When I logged into UKVCAS, I can still see my appointment.

Has anyone in the group faced the same problem ?
How do I rebook an appointment ?

Kindly respond. Thanks.

Thanks Zimba. I had sent an email to them and called them also but no response. It seems they are loaded with a lot of emails and calls so wanted to check if anyone in this group has the same problem.

Hi

Where was your appointment?

Mine was in London Croydon and got canceled today.

You have to go online and cancel your appointment, and then book another one and pay again!! which is extremely annoying and unprofessional. They said they will refund in 10 days.

I managed to get another appointment in 8/4 hopefully that wont be cancelled too.

I've added my wife and children in my application. Absences for children are not required but I've added it too. No harm of having it anyway.

Thanks allscan12.
My situation is I already have ILR and now applying for dependents.
I have added my wife and child in the same application and uploaded the supporting documents against my wife's application.

Do I need to add the same/similar supporting documents for child's application too ? or wife's supporting documents will suffice ?

Hi Experts,

Hope all are well, keeping safe and healthy!
Can someone please confirm on my previous query ?

Also, the BRP appointment is getting postponed again and again. Now we have got a schedule on 22nd June. My dependent's visa will expire in the first week of June, however we had submitted the application on March. In this situation, do we need to apply for extension or will it automatically extended due to the current situation ? Looking forward to seeing your response. TIA..

No need to apply for an extension. An application for ILR made before visa expiry is an in time application and even if the visa expires, they are protected by Section 3C of the immigration rules, which means their existing visa conditions continue until HO has made a decision, regardless of how long it takes.

There is no 'automatic' extension as you have already made an application.

For your child, you simply need to included their passport, brp. The checklist should have told you what to supply.

Absences are NOT required to be listed for ANY dependents whose current visas were issued before 18th January 2018.

Hi CR001 & other experts,
Hope all are keeping well and staying safe.

I have recently received an email on my dependent's behalf.
HO has requested the following documents:

1. Evidence of current cohabitation e.g. joint bank statements, joint utility bills or a recent document confirming address for yourself and your sponsor
2. English language - overseas degree and NARIC report, or confirmation if you have sat an approved English Language test prior to 21st March 2020 and if so provide the reference number
3. Confirmation if you have sat a Life in the UK test prior to 21st March 2020 and if so provide the test reference number
4. List of absences from the United Kingdom (if your previous PBS dependant application was made after 11 January 2018)
5. Police Registration Certificate (If you were asked to register with the police on your previous grant of leave)

1. Dependant Child (under 16) Full birth certificate (if this is your first UK visa application)

No. 4 and 5 are not applicable for us.
My query is I can't see they are asking for passports and brps ?
Do I need to send those documents too or send the only documents which are requested by HO.
Please advise. Thanks.

HO Address Update before/After BRP appointment

Post by cracker1234 » Thu Jun 11, 2020 9:17 pm

Hi All,
We are going for BRP appointment shortly (22nd June) however we had moved to a new property after we submitted our application in March.

Do you advise us to update the address for HO record before or after the BRP appointment ?
Any idea if we can update our HO details online ?
Kindly advise
