Penalties issued by DoJ

Do you know something about penalties/fines issued by Doj for overstaying or not registering in ROI in time? (after submitting EU1)

Thanks

Hi zuz,

I think you cannot "overstay" once you handed in an (eligible) EU1 application.

Your family member has the right to stay and work from the moment (s)he arrives to Ireland. That is, independently from the question of weather this right is confirmed through the EU4Fam-card. The card is barely an easy way to prove that the family member holds these rights.

(This same argument can be used to question as to why GNIB/DoJ/INIS try to deter and delay applications as much as they possibly can...)
