Difficulty getting appointment for NI number

Hi

I am employed in Kent right now. I have called kent NI office a number of times for appointment but they are always telling me to hold off and call later since they have people in queue.

Is there any other way I can get appointment or apply for NI number

Visit them and ask for the appointment. Thats what I did ofcourse.

In my case I sent them a letter saying that I couldn't get through to their phone line and got appointment by post. At that time I was living in Epsom and got appt in Woking (July 2004).

I also just walked in the NI office, filled out a form and was contacted by phone for my appointment.

I filed a complaint form concerning my inability to get the appointment by phone, following day i was called on my mobile and given an appointment.
