Gentle Folks

Can someone give me an idea as to how long the Indian Embassy in London takes if I want to get my wife's name changed in her Indian passport?

How long is a piece of string ????

Indian embassy works in ways that are difficult to understand by a vast majority. I am surprised by the confident "1-2 weeks" reply by the previous poster.

That might be the case if things go smoothly, but if they dont (& sometimes they dont), then even god cant help you.

Having said that they have a wonderful FAQ section on their website where you can post your question & they will reply back quite promptly.
