T1E Dependant Extension IHS Fee Confusion

Post by viceversailles » Sun May 24, 2020 9:18 pm

Hello!

I hope someone can help me with my enquiry.

My husband was PBS Tier 1 Entrepreneur and in January 2020 got his ILR (BRP expires 2024).
His route: initial 3 year T1E visa in 2014, 2 year T1E extension in 2018 (applied in 2017, waited for a year for an answer). The extension was expiring in July 2020, so in January 2020 he got his ILR.

My T1E Dependant extension visa expires in July 2020.

I am applying now for another PBS T1E Dependant extension visa and on a IHS calculator it showed me that my IHS fee will be £1200.
Which makes sense, £400/year x 3 year visa extension.

But while I was actually applying and filling the details on an IHS website prior to payment, it requested a fee of £2000.
I am a little bit confused, is that right?
Does it mean that I will get a 5 year extension?
Or maybe I did something wrong?

Put his ILR expiry date as 3 years from now, or day month 2023, to get the correct IHS amount.

You won't get a 5 year extension even if you pay £2000.

Thank you very much!
