Any Tier-1 (General) new applicants??

Grant, I hope you are correct with update of logs. Otherwise, if my update was correct then I can easily assume another 3 weeks time from decision to stamping.

Have sent urgent treatment request again by Fax? Any idea if I should send the same by email as well...does it work?

My boss has been getting really furious of me not being able to travel on Business. But how the hell one can explain the HO mess especially to these europeans who thinks one can travel easily across borders?

Bad times really!!! it's more than pathetic.

Hi all,

Applied for Tier-1 (switching from WP) : 31/07
Reference letter dated : 01/08
Called the HO on 13/08 and requested for urgent treatment on medical grounds. Faxed request letter, medical certificate and flight tickets on 14/08 to 01142075862.
Called HO today and they told that my request has been considered and will be given priority. However, they refused to give any timeline â€“ told that it will depend on the complexity of the application.

Will keep posted,

I called up HO and was told that urgent treatment only speeds up the stamping and dispatch process.
So if you are application is with a CW , the CW take his or her time to
decide !!!

Hi

I would suggest to add another parameter in the collected info, if the case is Switching from WP to Tier 1 or IGS to Tier1 etc . And also , if applied from UK or outside UK .

Hey Guys,
My Application is refused saying that earninngs are lesser than claimed.
However my agency had sent a mail to reconsider as it looks like they have not calculated properly..

Well hopefully they revert back in a current situation where so many applications are in queue already.

Also my agency said if no response then they would escalte it further

Keeping my fingers crossed...lets see

Hope that the agency follows the appropriate method to request for review / appeal the decision than just send an email to the HO to reconsider (as you claim).

The refusal letter would have clearly indicated the reason for refusal (income less than what was claimed) and you should liaise with the agency to provide adequate explanation as to why you think UKBA made an error in refusing your application.

Even i checked found that HO has considered my gross after tax instead of before Tax.

According to guidance document,they should consider gross before tax

Absolutely Wrong........... The salary considered for the previous earnings under tier1 is gross salary not net salary.

Gross salary is the salary before Tax and Net salary is the one after Tax.

Damn agency,,i am gonna kill them.
My lawyer made a mistake,she didnt send the calculations correctly.

Also my bad is it says i cannot re appeal as i have work permit valid till 2009-Aug..

It was a reward to my laziness of giving it to the agency..

Learn from the experience (mistakes) ... read the Tier 1 policy guidance *carefully* and understand what's in there.

Thats correct but its just an estimate and doesnt garantee anything. Its just a standard rsponse they give u when u call. if u are lucky enough to get thru to one helpful lady she wil actually take ur ref. and check the actual status for u. But thats like a lottery

applied with 3 dependents from wp to tier 1

applied on 12th june
feed deducted
13 june, ref number dated 13th june
approval date : 29th jully
URgent treatment request on 11th jully with OFFER LETTER and accepted
latest photos sent on 13th jully as requested
paper received: 19th august

Congrats man, .............so it took 1 month and 10 days after the urgent treatment got accepted to get the doc's back. despite the fact u had to send ur pics in, still its not really an urgent treatment is it??

it that's the definition of urgent treatment then we guys should just forget about our docs!!

anyhow...going by batch theory (that it comes in batches)..anybody else got lucky with this week's lottery?

I think with this HO system, no theory can be validated except 'Uncertainity Principle'
