Changing employer on Tier 2 - documents to obtain for ILR

Hey, so I'm changing jobs now, and in a couple of years I should be able to apply for ILR. Can someone please provide a list of documents I should obtain from my current employer before I leave, to make sure I don't get into trouble when I complete my 5 years?

I know that I should get a letter confirming all my absences from the UK while I was employed. Anything else?

Also, is there any good template for this "Absences from the UK" letter that I could give to my employer?

One more quick question if you don't mind... I assume they don't care about what day this absence letter is signed on / dated with? Could be say just the last day of my employment?
