How far in advance can you apply for FLR?

My visa is due to expire in November. I was wondering if anyone knew how far in advance you can apply for FLR?
I'm on the Long residence- private life route for 10 years. I'm applying for a further 2 and a half years leave.

You can apply anytime. You will have a shortfall if you are coming up to 10 years Long Residence, even by a few months.

Apply 28 days before expiry should be fine.
