Break between jobs for ILR

Post by raghavsurya » Thu Jun 04, 2020 11:08 pm

Hi team,

I will be due for ILR in September 2020. I quit my previous employer in July 2019 and my last day was July 04 2019. My new BRP (with current employer) was however issued on 02 July 2019. I then took a break between 05th July to 04 Aug 2019(weekends included) and joined my current employer from 05 Aug 2019. So that's a gap of 1 month unpaid although I had valid BRP from new employer starting 02 July 2019.

Will this affect my ILR application or will i be just fine? thanks in advance

Please do not post ILR questions in the tier 2 sub forum. Topic moved.

It's fine. There is no employment gap rule anymore.

ILR Main Applicant: Docs Query

Post by raghavsurya » Mon Aug 10, 2020 4:16 pm

Hi All,

I am the main applicant for ILR eligible in September through Tier 2 General (5 Year) route.

I have a query re: docs required for my ILR application. I switched jobs twice in the 5 year period. So I have worked for 3 employers in the 5 year period. but don't seem to have P45 of both previous employers. is P45 necessary for ILR application?

My solicitor says letter from previous employers stating I worked between so and so dates mentioning the designation would suffice if P45 is lost. Is this true? Please help

Thanks,
Raghav

P45 has never been required. Employer absence letter is required
