Tier 2 visa switch in country application

Post by nav18scse » Mon Jun 08, 2020 8:57 pm

Hi,
I need some details about in-country uk visa application to swtich from Tier 2 Dependent to Tier 2 general.

I understand that we can expect some delay to process applications now. But I want to know,

1) Will the application process time starts from online applications submission date or Biometric oppointment date?
2)What is the process they are following now?
3) How long we may have to wait in this situation?

Thanks.

Hi,

Yes, Managed to apply but unable to book appointment. Looks like we will get slot only after July.

I am not sure, whether appointment will be opened for us to book or wait for a mail from UK visa center to do the same.

Also I hope legally we can be in UK until decision is made.

Thanks.

You will NOT be sent a 'mail' to book. YOU need to keep checking online and book.

Date of application is the date you apply online and NOT your biometric appointment. Your online applications must be in time and before visa expiry!!

Thanks for your clarification.

I have made online applications already before my visa has been expired. Can you clarify below

so I am legally can continue my current job with my current Visa until the decisions come even after current visa expires(31 July as per current concession)?

What details I have to give to my current employer for them to update to the Home Office?

Thanks.

They can do the employee right to work check with UKVI.
