Post by Pushkar123 » Mon Jun 22, 2020 2:52 pm

Hi. hope someone can help me on this. My wife is applying for the ILR this month. To meet the financial requirement, should both of our income exceed £18,600 or is the combined income should be at least £18,600. My annual income is £22,00 and my wife's is £10,000. Please help. Thank you.

You only need ONE person to meet the income requirement, not BOTH.

Financial Requirement

Post by Pushkar123 » Thu Jun 25, 2020 9:50 am

Hello everyone,

Hope someone can help me on this. My wife is applying for her ILR next month. My 6 months payslips are ready but the pay is different each months as I changed 2 companies. Here are the details of my pay.

Jan - £1800
Feb - £1960
Mar - £1860
Apr - £800
May - £2200
Jun - £1950

As you can see I was paid on £800 in April. I head that ECO takes the low amount payslip and does the calculation. If that's true then my income would be only £9600 and I would not meet the financial requirement but if the calculate my other month income then I would definitely meet the financial requirement. Can someone please let me know that my wife's visa might get reject because of this. Annual income of my wife is £10500. Thank you.

Hello

Can you share the revenue over 1 year rather than 6 months?

Yes I can, average 12 months pay is £1850, its just in April I got paid only £800. All the income is before tax.

If you aren't working with your present employer from at least 6 months then you would have to apply under category B. For this purpose you must have earned at least £18600 during the last 12 months and must be employed on an annual income of £18600 on the date of application.

The £800 is fine if this was because of the COVID-19. Such as furloughed etc, There is a new update on the home office site. This will be disregarded and counts as 100%.

So your 6 months payslips is fine under category A.
