ILR dependant visa - Job in shortage occupation list

Post by Lokez21 » Fri Jun 26, 2020 1:57 pm

Dear Admins,

I am on ILR and previously I was on Tier 2 General visa(Both current and previous jobs on Shortage occupation list) for a different employer.
I would like to apply for dependent visa for my wife who is living in India.

The fees:
Dependent visa comes to around £1500
And surcharges 1200£ for 3 years.

Am I right in thinking that because my previous/current job is on SOC list, my dependent visa fees will be reduced to only £483. Even if she is applying from abroad? Surcharges remain unchanged?

I appreciate your answers,
Thank you.
Lokesh

You are not applying for a Tier 2 dependent visa if you hold ILR and your spouse has NOT previously been on a tier 2 dependent visa (which appears to be the case from your previous topics where you state she is a Tier 4 visa holder).

You have to apply for a spouse settlement visa and your last tier 2 SOC is irrelevant to this.

Visa fee is £1533
IHS is £1200

She needs to meet the English A1 requirement and you must meet the financial requirement of £18,600pa (£22,400pa if your child is not yet British).
