Tier 2 to ILR application query

Post by bsn1980in » Thu Jun 18, 2020 1:47 pm

Hi

While filing SET(O) form I got following question

Have you previously lived in a country outside the UK including your country of birth? YES or NO

It says "including your country of birth". I guess, the answer should be YES.

Please suggest.

Bharat

Thanks for your reply. One more suggestion, please

I came to UK in May 2013 on ICT dependent VISA and then switched to Tier2 General in Aug 2015. Do I need to mention

From birth -to- May 2013 - India - reason: birth country
From May 2013 -to- July 2015 - UK - reason: ICT dependent visa
From July 2015 -to- Aug 2015 - India - reason: TIer2 GEN VIsa procesisng

Tier2 to ILR documents query

Post by bsn1980in » Sat Jun 27, 2020 7:52 am

Hi

I will be applying for ILR in July 2020 with my partner and kids. Few queries

1. I filled SET(O) form and at the end it shows a list of documents. No where it mentioned that I need to provide proofs of living in UK for last 5 years.
Do I need to provide proofs of my residence in UK for last 5 years? If yes, what all can be accepted as proofs?

The SET(O) form lists the following:
2. If you have added a spouse or civil partner to this application form who is applying at the same time as you, please provide documentary evidence of cohabitation since you were last granted leave (up to a maximum of two years). Evidence provided should cover the whole period and be in the form of official letters or documents, addressed to yourself and your spouse.

What could be used as evidence of cohabitation?
Do I need to provide these only for last 2 years only? As the statement, "Evidence provided should cover the whole period ..." is little misleading.

3. Evidence of immigration status of <main applicant> in the UK - Is it the BRP they are asking for?
They also asked for "All previous passports, travel documents or national identity cards that <all dependents> has used to travel to or remain in the UK". I think it covers passports & BRPs.

Thanks in advance!

Regards
Bharat

1. It is your passports.

2. It does say "since last granted leave (up to a maximum of 2 years)". So only two years evidence.

3. Passports and current Brp.
