hey guys,

a bit of bad news really! as you may know I'm due to apply for my wife ILR on the 23rd June 2020. I received a letter from work regarding redundancy due to Covid19(Airport worker) (all workers received one) and we have zoom/calls for meeting tomorrow as I could be jobless but I hope not.

long story short, would I still be able to apply for the ILR because I have already meet the requirements and I have a letter from employer 5 days ago stating my contract etc.

I guess that's the end of the road for me right? my wife is a bank staff due to our baby and her salary is way off the requirements. massive blow to me really.

I feel defeated already but then I could be lucky tomorrow!

your advise will be welcome thank you

She cannot use category A or B to qualify if you lose your job.

Right guys. Updates

Meeting was stressful: we have been asked to reapply for our jobs again and company have planned to get rid of 45% of the business. Basically we all at risk of losing our job. This start from next month.

Questions

1) should I still apply for my wife ILR knowing I might not have a job the end of August?

what’s your advice guys as I am super sad!

You must be employed in the same job when she is going to be granted ILR :!: :!:

That's due to furlough scheme is getting tightened up in upcoming months demanding contribution from employer side too who primarily wanted to remain unperturbed, thus now are proposing redundancies. Ideally start finding new job.

Yeah that’s true. It has been sorted now thanks guys.

Last question.

Planned to apply on the day of the B1 & LITUK exams
Hoping for a pass.

What’s if I can’t get the certificate or slip for the application I need to upload?

Can I pay the application fees and wait a few days before I uploads all my documentation after I have received the certificate?

Doing all this because of the 28days limitation. If I wait for the certificate to arrive I might have to add June to my application, letters and payslips etc.

Regards

Thanks for reply.

Fantastic news; just to sure I don’t need to wait for my B1 test certificates. Because if I wait for the certificate to arrive with Royal Mail which might take about 5days or also the. My 28days employment letter will be expired.

Example exams date on 23/06/2020
Online Application Paid and submitted 23/06/2020
Documentation uploaded 30/06/2020

Will this example to be ok??

Or I can upload all the documentation same day as the application and then upload the B1 certificate when it arrive few day’s later?
Many thanks

You can continue uploading until the date of biometrics appointment by making sure to keep your financial documents be dated until the date of application. English & LIUK can be uploaded/supplied later.

Hi guys
As you may know I applied for my wife ILR on 23/06/2020
Both exams passed.
Apparently there is no Biometric appointment for new application due to COVID-19

Question?
.In this specific case (I lost my job after submitting the application online), will this affect the decision made on the Set (M) application? (5 years spouse r
oute).

I’m still waiting for the UKVCAS to allocate appointment for new application.

Yes only if the caseworker will contact the employer.

How long are you given in the online system to upload all docs?
I am about to apply as well, but considering if I shall wait until I have the test result as well.
