WP Change of Employment - Going on Holiday - FLR question

Post by voyager_on_web » Wed Aug 20, 2008 4:45 pm

Hi everyone
I am currently on a WP with Employer 'A' and has LTR visa till July 2009.
I found a new job with Employer 'B' and they applied for Change of Employment (WP).
I have received the 'Letter of permission'.
I am going to start my employment soon.

Now My Questions:
Q1) Is employment with Employer 'A' still valid?
Q2) Without applying for FLR(IED), based on the 'Letter of Permission', I can start working
with Employer 'B' as I have leave to remain, am I correct?
Q3) Assume the answer is 'Yes' for Q2, can I go on an holiday for 3 weeks and
come back and apply for FLR(IED) i.e., Working for Employer 'B' with the earlier FLR validity,
but come back and apply for FLR(IED) for new Employment with 'B'.

Thanks

I stand to be corrected on this but below are my thoughts,

1. No
2. Yes, but you will need to get your new FLR stamped as soon as possible and within a fixed time limit.
3. Assuming 2 is correct, yes.
