FLR FP 10 years route 2nd extension

Post by c4551m » Tue Jul 07, 2020 9:54 am

Hi everyone,
My missus visa is expiring in November 2020.
Since last time we applied seems like there are few changes now, could someone guide us what's the new process from their personal experience.
Is everything online now ?
What supporting documents are we required to show ?
Do they need to be from 2.5 years ?
What's the fee for the application ?
Time period for the application ?

I am on Ilr, her visa is flr fp 10 yrs route, we have two children ( 9 yrs and 3 yrs).
Kindly advice

Thanks
Flro applied 23.02.14
Varied application to SET LR 3.3.14
Biometrics done 24.3.14
Approval 24.7.14
Docs received 28.7,14

Is everything online now ?
Yes, all online now. Once you have submitted and paid, you will be directed to UKCVAS Sopra Steria to book a biometrics appointment.
What supporting documents are we required to show ?
Passports, BRP card, 2 years evidence of cohabitation in both your names (jointly or individually) from 3 to 6 different sources spread evenly for every 3 to 4 months. Likely children's birth certs too. The online document checklist will tell you what you need. The guidance is also useful, link below.

Do they need to be from 2.5 years ?
Cohabitation for 2 years.
What's the fee for the application ?
Currently £1033 visa fee plus IHS fee of £1000. Note that the IHS is increasing in October from £400 per year to £625 per year.
Time period for the application ?
Depends on the service you choose, i.e. super priority or standard service. Standard service is between 8 weeks and 6 months. FLR(FP) is not often approved using the 24 hour super priority service (which costs an extra £800).

Thanks for your detailed reply, her visa expires on 11th November, the IHS fee increase is from the 1st of October, is it possible I can apply earlier to pay current fee or how early can I apply ?

You may apply at any time.

It is however recommended to apply no earlier than 28 days before completing 30 months counting from the day they entered the UK on the visa.

If 2nd extension on a 10 year route, 28 days before completing 30 months counting from the date the last visa was granted; or earlier if time to ILR is less than 30 months.
