Advise over 2nd FLRM extension

Post by 2017Freedom » Tue Jun 02, 2020 6:31 pm

Hi
I hope you are all well ..
I have to apply for 2nd extension as the visa runs out on 7th of August and I had couple of question please ..
1- do I have to submit the application 28 days before or since they are not accepting appointments I can submit before the date ..just worries that due to current situation we dont get an appointment in time ...

2 - is 30 K a year enough to cover my wife and 2 kids ...not applying for kids as they are British already

3 ..she might not get her UTR number in time as shes a company director and she applied late ..
Can I just use my finances to cover her application ..

Many thanks

1. You can apply within 28 days before reaching 30 months residence counted from date of entry to the uk and the latest before visa expiry date. There is no rule that it must be exactly 28 days before expiry date. Date of application is the date you submit and pay online and NOT the date of biometrics appointment, which can be after visa expiry date.

2. You only need £18,600pa financial requirement.

3. Yes, if you meet the financial requirements then you only need to use your income.

Visa Expiry Date -

Post by 2017Freedom » Sun Jun 07, 2020 6:11 pm

Hi Forum

I hope you are all well ..

2 - questions please if possible

1) I noticed that I have put incorrect travel dates on the application and it does not allow me to edit the answers anymore although I have not submitted the application yet ...any idea how I can correct this ?

2) My Visa runs out on 7th of august - I was planning to go home between 1st and 15 th of July ..
Can you travel up to the expiry date or are there any restrictions ..

Many thanks

1. If you haven't submitted it yet then better to either delete this application or start a new one perhaps with new account.

2. You can apply until the last day of visa expiry and date of submitting the application will be the date of application regardless of when will the biometrics appointment become available.

Advise over 2nd FLRM extension

Post by 2017Freedom » Sat Jun 20, 2020 7:56 am

Hi All

Hope you are all well...
Can someone please tell me what Is the next step.
After paying for the application online..does it give you the chance to book different dates...can I pay
And book from now although I dont want to book too early...so my submission date will be the date I complete the application and pay for it...I cannot submit before 15th of July but I'm worried that if I wait it will be a backlog..

Thanks

You have options of dates, if available, to book an appointment. Ukcvas are currently prioritising those who had appointment when lockdown occurred. You should check their website for updates as they are posting how the service will return to normal.

Your date of appointment can be after the visa expiry because only the date of application matters.

There are delays, clearly updated on the forum and UKCVAS website. They are dealing with applicants in the date order they applied. Currently dealing with May applicants. So you are in for a bit of a wait.

Also ..I uploaded documents that I think are needed but will they tell me if there's anything missing before we go to biometrics
You need to upload the evidence that the immigration rules require. Not what you think is relevant. No one is going to check your uploads before your appointment and let you know if anything is missing. This is not how it works.

It is the applicants responsibility to submit all the required documents, which are clearly published online.

UKCVAS biomteric centres are also not Home Office staff or branches. UKCVAS is a third party agent.

Thank You CR001 ...it makes sense ...
When is the application considered submitted officially..is it when I press submit documents ..I have uploaded all the documents I have so just double checking before I submit...

If I cant get through to them either via phone or online bookings will Home Office contact us for an appointment?

Many thanks for your help !

Date of application is the date you submit and pay for the online application. Not the biometric appointment date or the date you upload your documents.

You will likely be contacted as they work through the backlog. Make sure you check your spam/junk folder regularly too.
