Passport Validity for Tier 4 Dependent Visa

Post by Raviteja440 » Mon Jul 20, 2020 11:17 am

Hi,

I am applying for Tier 4 dependent visa for my kid whose passport have validity until next year. Given that, the Dependent visa will be provided for two years. Is it necessary, for the passport to have validity that covers the whole visa period?

2) if so, can i apply for passport renewal and Tier 4 Dependent Visa at the same time ?

2) Also, Can my kid apply the switch within UK itself ? he is Currently on Tier 2 dependent Visa.

The passport needs to be valid at the time of application. As you are fully aware, the full length of visa is not a sticker in the passport. The child will get a new BRP card with the visa validity. Simply renew the passport when you get to that point shortly before expiry.

Yes.
