Residency Advice

Post by Deepstealth » Thu Jul 30, 2020 10:34 pm

Dear all,

I am hoping someone would be kind enough to review my travel over the past 1 and 3 years and give me their advice on when best to apply for UK Citizenship. I have recently obtained ILR and am married to a UK Citizen so I would be applying under 6(2). Looking at the travel chart below I have had 413 Days outside until 11/02/2020 and I would not be eligible under special consideration for work or family or property etc.

11/07/2017 to 16/08/2017 36 Days
05/11/2017 to 16/01/2018 72 Days
16/05/2018 to 14/07/2018 59 Days
15/08/2018 to 04/09/2018 20 Days
12/12/21018 to 12/03/2019 90 days
19/07/2019 to 30/09/2019 73 Days
10/12/2019 to 11/02/2020 63 Days

If I apply on the 17/01/2021 the first 2 rows would be excluded and with the last 5 rows I could deduct 5 more days because of travel on the same day being excluded - this would leave 300 days. So (a) for travel in the past year I easily fall under the 90 days (100 special consideration) limit. My worry is (b) the 300 days in the last 3 years meaning it is more than the 270 limit but just within the special consideration limit of 300 days.

I am not sure how much consideration the Home Office give to the 3 years over the last year given I meet all other requirements?

Hoping someone can review this and thank you for your time.
