End of March applications

Post by rella » Mon Apr 04, 2005 2:00 pm

I'm wondering if the HSMP apps are still being processed within a week or so, or if they've slowed down again.

Did anyone submit the last half of March and hear anything back yet?

My husband submitteed a new app that arrived at the HO on 21st March and the fee was taken from our bank account that same day. So, I know they have it, though they never sent the email verification of reciept.

Just wondering how long the wait might be.... :?

i can't understand why r u waiting? and what are u waiting for? why don't u send a mail to wpcustomers@ind.homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk and ask them about the Reference No. at least, u may even hear that your application is already processed and u may not need to note communicate with the ref. no. in future?

so, cheer up and send a mail right away

Rella,

I hope things work out better this time. Has your husband applied as an 'Out of Country' applicant??

Exactly!

Thanks for the good wishes. We are truly sweating it out!

dhavaluk, hubby sent an email to them last week, but no reply. I saw your other thread a while ago and sent an email off to WPcustomers! 8)

Hopefully, they'll respond. We already know the ref no because he has a current HSMP approval that we might as well make into a paper airplane. But, that's another story that I've bored this forum to tears with about a million times....

xxx/01 means 1st application, if that is refused and you ask for a review they will give you a xxx/02 and if you ask for another review you will get xx/03, and after that you wont be allowed to ask for anymore reviws and will have to send in a fresh application

Does Ref. No. XXX/01 means rejection of the first attempt. Does successful applications has XXX/01?

xxxx/01 Just means first application thats all. remember the reference is issued before the application is decided on. so dont try to speculate your decision from the reference number

I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star.

I applied on March 28, 2005 and the application was recieved by Work Permits U.K. on April 1, 2005 but have not recieved Ref. No. yet. Can anybody guide what should I do? Should I email them? if yes then to whom to WPCustomers or to HSMP Team?

posted on 31 March....but they are not convinced

Post by Talha » Mon Apr 25, 2005 7:47 am

If someone has not received ref # and CC also not charged.....be ready to get ur documents back.
As I applied on 31 March.............but they send me back documnets with a letter stating that I posted after 31 March so I must include revised fee.

I have plenty of evidences to show that I posted on 31 March. The cut-off point was 1st April 2005 12:01 am as mentioned on their website.

They didnt bother to see the airway bill (receivers copy).....the leter I received is unsigned and has no ref. #.....seems highly non-professional way of handling things.

What should I do:

Option1: To send back application documenst with evidence that earlier application was psoted on 31 March.

Option2: To send a fresh application with revised fee

Dear Talha,

You said you sent your documents on March 31, but they will consider your application as of the date they actually received it, not the date when it was sent.

I think you should take it, there is no use to agrue with them.

Good luck

Here what the policy is:

Cut-off point for the introduction
of the Revised Fees
Applications sent before the revised fees are introduced at 12.01am on 1 April
2005 will not incur the revised fees of £315 for a HSMP application and £335 for
an IED/LTR application. In disputed cases, Work Permits (UK) will need to be
satisfied that the application was submitted before this date and would require
evidence to confirm the situation. In all cases, it should be noted that the date the
application was signed does not prove the date the application was submitted.
Postal Applications
Normally, the postmark on the envelope would ascertain the date the application
was submitted. You may wish to consider using registered, recorded or special
delivery. In all cases, those postmarks showing that the application was posted
on or before 31 March 2005, but received by us after that date will be dealt with
at the old fee level.
Why to pay double for their mistakes :?: They advised me to re submit with proof of sending on 31 march

Dear Talha
Hi

Have youi submitted your application again. I wish you best of luck.

I have received my application and documents with an unsigned covering letter stating that I have dispatched my application after 31st March 2005 and I need to resubmit with a new fee effective 01 April 2005.

I have courier airway bill that shows the date of dispatch is 31 march. DHL has chrged my visa card on 31 March for the payment of courier fee and the point of sale slip shows the time and date as 31 march 1120hours. I have visa card statement issued by the bank for the month of march stating the transaction date as 31 March.

I wrote them an e-mail stating the facts. I received a response from charging team as follows:

[Please return your application and proof of posting to Work Permits UK,
Charging Ops, P O Box 3468, Sheffield S3 8WA

Kind regards
Charging]

Do I need to send the same application or fill in the new application form effective 1st april 2005.

Please advise.

Regards
OneTen

Just send back the same application and attach to it the proof of posting that they are asking for, if you fill in new (4 April 05) forms you are going to confuse things as these forms are only to be used by application submitted from that date. also maybe put in cover letter explaining that you are re - sending the application and explaining the proof that you submitting, again make sure you keep a copy of everything you send to them
