dependent visa for tier 2 general/ health and care visa

Post by ifylolly » Sat Aug 08, 2020 11:14 am

Hello, I am on a tier 2 general shortage occupation visa that expires in 2023 and have had a baby in the UK. Can I apply for the health and care dependent visa for the baby since I qualify for it and will like to travel out of the country with the baby.
Thanks for the response in advance.

The baby needs to apply for the same visa that you hold, ie tier 2 general dependent.

sorry to bother, I'm a bit confused
came across this https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... idance.pdf

A9 If you are applying as a partner or dependant of a person who qualifies for the Health and
Care visa, but the qualifying person arrived in the UK before the Health and Care Visa was
available, then you will need confirmation from the sponsor that the person upon whom your
application is reliant, is eligible for the visa. The sponsor will need to provide the information,
which would normally be included in the Certificate of Sponsorship, to the applicant for
inclusion in the partner or dependant application. This should be in the form of a letter or an
Tier 2 Policy Guidance (Version 07/2020) Page 9
email from the sponsor and would set out the organisation and, if not an NHS body, how the
organisation qualifies under paragraph A2 of this guidance
