ILR dependant applying for pbs extension

Hi there

I have few questions regarding ILR and tier 2 PBS extension for my dependents. My time line is as follows

Entered UK 19th Sept 2015
Visa expires 14 Oct 2020
Eligible for ILR by 20 Aug 2020

My current organisation will apply for my ILR so that's not a problem but my dependents joined me 5 months later in Feb 2016 but their visa expires on 14th Oct 2020. I was planning on applying my ILR in fast track route before applying for my dependents tier 2 extension but due to covid-19 fast track applications are suspended

My questions are

1. Can I apply for my dependents tier 2 PBS extension when my ILR application is in process? If I wait for my ILR decision my dependents visa will expire.
2. 5 years ago my job code 2135 was not in shortage occupation list but now it has been added to the list. So when I apply for my dependents visa do I select tier 2 PBS extension shortage occupation or just regular tier 2 general pbs visa extension.
3. My company is an A rated sponsor, do I still need to show £630 in my bank account or do I need to get a letter from my sponsor citing they are an A rated sponsor.

Any guidance would be really helpful.

1. They just apply before their visa expire. They will only get an extension if your ilr is successful.

2. Shortage..if your fees are too low, ukvi will likely ask you to pay the top up. Note you have to out your last cos and sponsor details in the form.

3. Your sponsor cannot certify maintenance if you are apply for or have ilr. You have to maintain £630 for 90 days for each applicant apply for a PBS dependent extension.
