is there ne1 who applied arnd 26th june ??
Hi, I have the same date as of you. But mine is Tiar 1 General, WP to Tier1. I spoke to a lady in the call center today and she said my case is with the manager (i.e the case worker has completed his/her work and passed it to the manager). She also said that from this stage this should not take long. But I have seen people have said that after approval it takes atleast 2 weeks for visa stamping. She did not say whether the case worker has approved or rejected my case. Fingers crossed!

HO confrimed they send document via recorded delivery in UK, unless asked or specia delivery.
It seems most of the applications received by ho on 27 jun are now in next stage of processing. should start getting documents by this weekend and loads by next week. Keep the faith.

I am transferring from HSMP to Tier 1. The payment was processed on 7 July. It sounds like I have a while to wait.

i think u will get soon. my sister just got her tier 1 back today. applied on 9th july, she is worried abt something, her previous hsmp visa expired on 2nd aug and new stamp started on 15th august, so, there is 14 days gap between 2 stamps, can that be a problem for ILR application? does anybody got back their visas have the same situation ie: a gap between visa end and new visa?
many thanks.

Hi Friend
This is very common. Many people have this gap period. Since passport was in custody of HO it is not a prolem Secondly all approval letters state that this leave is sufficient to take you to the qualifying threshold for ILR. So my understanding is irrespective of 5 years or 4 years minus 2 months or whatever this statement means that you can apply for ILR with in this visa perid. If anybody has a different understanding please share with me specially GURUS and senior members

Hi All,
I sent my documents (HSMP extension in Tier-1) on 8th August by special delivery. I know it is quite far away given people who applied in June are getting their visa now. The payment was taken few days later and I also got a reference letter. However, I am still a bit worried as royal mail still says not delivered. When I call royal mail they say it is in home office's PO box (even though I sent to non PO Box address). The reference letter I got is just a printout without really a letter head and signature. I am just wondering this is how all reference letters come and it is not a problem.
Thanks
Neeraj

Hi all
My UTR really worked. Timeline as follows:
Tier 1 Extension received and payment deducted: 06/08
Urgent Treatment fax sent: 15/8
Approval confirmation: 22/8
Documents received: 27/8
So all in all a 3 week turnaround. My UTR involvedwork travel so the fax contained a letter from my employer as well as flight and hotel receipts.
Thanks to all.

Hi Jared,
Good news! Were they receptive to you or did you have to press the issue a bit? I've been trying to call and they've been kinda rude and giving me the standard response. Sent the urgent treatment fax 3 times and they haven't still been able to locate it. The lady mentioned that they're running behind by a week on just the faxes. Just wondering how persistent you needed to be.
Thanks for your help.

thanks a lot. so, other people got same situation. the leave they gave to her is not exactly 3 years. it's a bit less to reach 5 yr period start from her hsmp. no urgent treatment but included sp delivery envelope.

Hi,
Just in case you didn't know, the home office maintains a log of all calls made and in case you get too persistent and let loose of your temper, they could put a marker against your reference number - landing you in hot water as far as your application and any communication from your end is concerned. Although this isn't written in stone, it's better to be safe than sorry

I called the Home Office on Tuesday and was told they are processing applications up to the 30th June.
My application was received on the 15th July so it could be awhile yet before I get it back. I've ended up sending an UTR through as in the meantime I've lost my job and no one is willing to put me forward for a new role until I can prove I can legally work in the UK.

They were receptive - sent the fax once, called the HO to ask if it had been reeceived 2 days later and they said it had and was accepted as urgent treatment.
