Need Advice for Missing Address Registration to Police

Post by duranduran » Sat Aug 22, 2020 6:20 pm

Hello,

I'm preparing to apply for ILR next month. I have an issue with my police registration and i need advice for that.

When i moved to my previous place i was planing to stay there temporarily so i didn't register that address to police, however i've ended up living there for 2 years. When i moved to my current home i've registered it's address to the police, but i haven't mentioned about the previous address as i thought it's not important any more. So, my current address is registered to police, but my previous address is not registered.

It looks like, not registering to police is one of the reasons for ILR application refusal. In the previous posts, I've seen that usually an attachment to the application together with valid excuse and apology usually solves the problem and rarely an action is taken.

Has anyone had a similar issue? Should i go to police and register the previous address now? Is it possible to do that? Or should i go with the option where i specify a valid excuse for not registering the previous address on my application.

Thanks

Who told you this lead to ILR refusal ?? This is a very minor issue and has no effect on ILR. Simply ignore that you lived in that address and do not mention it on the application
