Update:
Online Application date: 9th May.
Happy to inform that finally got the IDV App email at 7.07 pm. Submitted the face picture and provided my last year's BRP as the Photograph of the travel document. There were no mandatory documents and I already had all the other documents uploaded showing in the Optional documents section. All the documents are now submitted along with the application to UKVI after nearly 16 weeks of wait.

Good luck everyone.

Good to see invitations reaching 9 may at least!
Looking at this pace, it so appears (just a theory!) that the number of applicants for IDV app may not be so many as originally anticipated as a lot of them might have opted out as most would want their decision faster.

Hi all,
Could anyone who has attended the biometric appointment provide the guidance pls.. i have uploaded all documents on ukvcas website, and i am attending the biometric appointment tomorrow. They have asked me to bring original documents. Some of my documents have always existed as a soft copy. Do I need to print and take these to the appointment? I have printed the mandatory documents (where i didnt have original paper copies) as per the document checklist, but do I need to print all supporting documents too? What documents do they expect at the appointment? Any guidance will be greatly helpful. Thank you.

UKVCAS update for August applicants:
For those of you who applied between 1 – 14 August 2020, we will be sending you an email to outline next steps. This will let you know if you are eligible to use the IDV app or whether you need to book a UKVCAS appointment.

Watch out for an email called; ‘UKVCAS - book an appointment now’ by 27 August 2020

If you are eligible for the IDV app, the email will be called; ‘Introducing the UKVCAS IDV app’ and will have instructions for next steps and will arrive by 30 August 2020.

For customers who applied from 15 August 2020, we will be in touch as soon as possible after UKVI update us about your application.

At Brimingham I was only asked for BRP card and Current Valid Passport (not even the old ones), Mine was Set(O). A friend who did it earlier in August Set(M) also needed only the Passport and BRP.

The rule of thumb I followed was, if it wasn't an original to start with, don't take print out of soft copies.
(I did carry a bag full of originals to prove residency etc, but none of it was reviewed by UKVCAS)

Two different persons have received this email today. These applicants did not opt-out.

Just received this email
Applied on 7th July
Due to the volume of correspondence we may be unable to locate your application without this reference and your correspondence may be returned to you.
We have received your application for indefinite leave to remain in the United Kingdom.
Regrettably, the application is not yet valid due to the temporary closure of Sopra Steria sites across the UK. Because of this, we are aware that you have been unable to book an appointment with Sopra Steria to enrol biometric data.
As biometric data is not yet available to us, we are unable to make a final decision on your case. However, we are actively trying to speed up the assessment of the applications we have received.
We are now in the process of pre assessing your application and our interim assessment has indicated that we require some additional information. To assist us with our consideration, please provide scanned or clearly photographed copies of the following documents and email them to UKVISETM@homeoffice.gov.uk
A copy of old passport was provided. However please can you also provide a copy of your current passport .
A signed declaration form. I have attached a blank copy to this email. Please hand sign and send a scanned copy/clear photo back.

Thank you for reply - the problem is that solicitor used his email and I assume there are many applications submitted using it. I regret I didn`t insist to use my personal email for application.
I dont see solicitor using the same email as an issue, this is what they do even other wise in regular days as well. On any given day they file 10-15 applications with same email id, if it is not an issue then how is it an issue now ?
Any luck, getting an invite to book bio?

I guess you may have tried already but if not, please try logging in to the app. Emails are sometimes jittery and don't always show up. Also, don't forget to check junk folder. Also, check for appointments on UKVCAS as IDV app and regular appointments both open simultaneously.

I applied on 15th May and still didn't receive the invite yet ! I haven't seen anyone on this forum who applied on or after 15th May reporting they received the IDV invite. Please correct me if I am wrong.
