I called up HO and they said I am eligible to apply within UK as my employer has given me a COS with a start date in August and I cannot travel due to restrictions and I should apply before 31st Aug to probably qualify for application within UK.
Can I please ask you if you are going to apply with or without dependents?

Hi All,

I am on an ICT dependent visa and my visa expired by end of July 2020. I am currently in the UK on the August 31 extension as the flights I had booked were towards the end of August. My employer had applied for the August RCOS and it was assigned to me today.

My start date on the RCOS would be from 1st of Sept 2020.

Would you be able to tell me if I need to travel to my home country to apply my Tier 2? Also, if I am allowed to apply from the UK, what link should I use?

When I tried this link https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... -selection and selected United Kingdom as the country to provide bio-metrics, it gave me an error and said I cannot apply within the UK

You are unable to apply for a UK visa from within the UK.

I used the first link. Switch to this visa, you cannot use the second one as you cannot choose UK here. Hence 1st link if you are applying within UK

Home office says the application has to be from the Home country. How did you get a confirmation? Did you email HO?
